Chelsea beat Arsenal with 1-0 denting Arsenal's title hope.

Chelsea continued its winning run on Sunday by beating Arsenal 1-0. This is the  first time that Arsenal lost a match on their home ground since the start of Premeir League. After this loss Arsenal slipped to third position in the points table from the top and Chelsea became the new leaders of the table. The performance of Arsenal players against Chelsea is deteriorating match after match. If we were to calculate the total time Arsenal players have spent in matches against Chelsea without scoring a goal it comes to around 8 hours. This does not portray a good picture about Arsenal's performance against Chelsea.

Arsenal's trouble started from the 18th minute when its captain Per Mertesacker was dismissed and Diego Costa scored the only goal of the game five minutes later. After this Arsenal cannot make a come back. Infact they never looked in a position to clear Chelsea defense. Arsenal's manager Wenger was booed by his own fans over a substitution straight after Mertesacker's lunge on Diego Costa.

"We've drawn too many of late so we needed to pick up three points," Chelsea captain John Terry said.
