Mi India has announced the roll out of MIUI 7

today after three months of testing and optimisation. Outside of China, the
update will be available for Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Pad, Mi Note, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi
Note 4G, Redmi 2 or Redmi Prime smartphones.
The notable omission here is the Xiaomi Mi 4i which
is expected to get the update in the following weeks. The MIUI 7 was
unveiled on August 19th and it is the latest upgrade to Xiaomi's Android-based
operating system with several new features designed particularly for India.
Xiaomi says MIUI 7 has an extensive customization option and
deploys colourful interface with better performance and battery saving
options.
The MIUI 7 also brings data saver feature currently
in beta phase and will be rolled out to global stable version soon. The MIUI 7
now supports 10 Indian languages and Xiaomi says it is constantly undergoing
localisation.
The MIUI was launched on August 16, 2010 with only
100 users. Now it has crossed 150 million users worldwide and is available in
156 countries and regions globally.
