Must have apps for every Android User

Hiii Friends,

In this article I am going to list down some apps which I feel should be installed in every android device. Although their usage differs from person to person but still most of us would need these apps in day to day life.

1. Whatsapp

This has to be first on the list. Today you can hardly see anyone not using whatsapp. It has became a part of our day to day life. Even the shop vendors and street hawkers are on whatsapp and they will send the photo of their product immediately. Yes there are other apps with better imogis and smileys but still none of them can replace whatsapp.

2.  Here Maps.

Yes, Windows Favorite Here Maps is now available for Android also. Although Google Maps comes pre-installed in every android smartphone but anyone living in India can easily understand the problems we face when we open our google maps and with slow internet connection we are not able to locate our destination. With this app we can download the maps and store it for offline usage. I personally feel the accuracy of Google maps is better than Here but still something is better nothing. In a situation when you are not able to load google maps this may come in handy.

3.  Evernote

Evernote is a digital space where in you can save your notes in images, text, audio, handwritten notes etc.
Also these notes can be placed in separate folders and tags or comments can be put on them. All these data put by you is stored on a cloud server so no matter how many times you change you phone you just need to download Evernote and login into your account and you will get all you notes on the new handset.

4.App lock

We all have our share of secrets which we want to hide from other people. So an app like Applock or SmartAppLock comes into picture. With this you can you lock your apps like whatspp, wechatt, Hangouts etc and images, folders etc to stop you friends from poking around in your personal life. Also you can prevent other users from uninstalling apps from you phone. So if anyone is really interested in getting any personal data from your phone he must get it unlocked from you.

5. Dictionary

All of you must install a decent dictionary in you phone to check out words not known to you. Usually people go with dictionary.com's app because it gives many features other than showing meanings.
It shows you the origin of the word, gives you a new word every day  as  'word of the day' to add to your vocabulary and gives you proper pronunciation of the words you are looking out. But personally I prefer English dictionary by limio because it is lighter than Dictionary.com and does not requires the user to be online every time. It suffices the basic requirement but does not have the extra perks which you get with dictionary.com. Still if you are not someone who is connected to internet 24x7  I would go with limio's English Dictionary.

7. App Extractor

Well App extractor is one of the apps which can actually enhance the performance of your phone. Instead of loading the phone memory with all the apps, you can extract the apk format of the apps which you don't use frequently and can store it into your mobile. Next whenever that app is required you can install it as per your convenience. With the apk format already stored into your mobile you need not to download the app again.

8. Gravity.and Lock Screen Widget.

Well I wouldn't say that everyone needs to install these but still it saves you from the task of using the lock key everytime you need to lock your phone. Gravity is basically an app which unlocks and wakes up your phone based on its movement and orientation and by using the proximity sensor of your phone. You can select which features you want to use to lock and unlock your phone. I suggest you to use the proximity sensor only cause the rest of them may result into draining the battery life. Also the lock screen widget can be placed on the home screen to lock the phone instantly. With the combination of these apps you need not to use power key any more except for switching off the phone.

9. File Manager

.
Usually it comes pre-installed in most of the phones but if you having stock android or if your phone provider has not given this, it is important to have a file explorer. It allows the users to view the content of the phone and create new folders, move items, delete items and so on. ES Explorer is one of the best in this field as it not only gives to option to view your mobile content but has some add on feature like OTG file viewer, PC LAN connectivity, cloud space and many more. These add on features make it more useful for everyone.

10. Document Scanning and Sharing App

Your android phone camera can also be used to scan documents and store them in your mobiles. The scanned documents are sometimes of better quality than taken from an actual scanner. There are many apps which can do it for you. I prefer cam scanner because you can set the quality in which you want the scanned items, share these items or store them in cloud space.

11, News  App.

We live in a world in which there is something interesting happening every second. You need to stay updated with these changes. There are many news app on the playstore like TOI, Hindu, News hunt etc. You can use any one of them to get updates on the recent events. But must of us, like me, are not avid readers and it is not easy to read all the news in detail. But sometimes the headlines don't give us the correct picture. News in Shorts is an app which gives you short stories about the latest events. It presents you with a small 5-6 lines article with every headline. It comes really handy when you want to get full day news updates quickly without much reading.

12. Notepad.

A note pad is something which can come into requirements any time. There are many apps with stick notes features which provide you with a widget on your home screen. You can use them to take important notes and share them with others if required.

13. Video Player.
These are really important to watch movies, videos on your phone. A default video player comes with every android phone but there are other apps also on playstore which can provide the same usage with better features. MX player is one of those apps. VLC player is also available now on playstore.

14. Security.

Personally I am not a big fan of antivirus and other security apps because it sometimes slows down your phone. But still I would suggest you get an anitvirus app installed to add some security cover on your mobile. There are  many apps which are up to purpose for this like avast, Mcafee etc. I used avast for some time and it is good. You can also use Mcafee and it comes with some addon features like giving remote control of your mobile, tracing its location, giving you the picture of the person holding your phone by using the front camera and many more.

15. You Tube Downloader.

Yes I know that there is no decent you tube video downloader app on play store and many of us still want to download lot of videos from youtube. So all those of you who want to download youtube videos with ease must install apps like Tube mate. This is not available on playstore. So you need to download it from website directly but it is really useful. It gives you options to select video quality and allows you to pause the download and start again afterwards.
