Whatsapp update for android and what's the new stuff in!!!!

WHATSAPP 2.12.367 UPDATE

                         

 Hello friends!! The new version of Whastsapp (2.12.367) is out on playstore and on its home website. You can update it directly from Playstore or from the link whatsapp. There are few new features which you may have noticed till now but still I will try to list them out for those who have not looked out for these new feautres.

With this update your get a better control over messaging than the previous version. Also there are some new emogis with similar array of skin tones as was introduced in the earlier update. I will list out these new features separately in this blog.

1.       Star Mark Messages :

It is basically similar to bookmark feature available in internet browsers. You can star mark the messages and these messages will appear in a separate “Starred Messages” option in the main window. In order to star mark any message, long press the message. Once it gets selected you can see the star option in the top along with the delete, copy and forward options.

Once star marked you can find the message in the “Starred Messages” window in the menu option on the home screen

  

2.       New Emogis.

This Update brings some new emogis and it was really surprising to find that now you can send a middle finger also from whatsapp. Some other emogis are also added with the same array of skin tones which came in the last update

.  

3.       Link Preview.

With this update a shared link will give preview of the content  on the link page. Basically the title of the webpage and preview image of the page is shown along with the link. This feature does not add to the usability of the software but adds to the overall user experience.

4.       Custom Notifications for People.

Last update of whatsapp introduced the feature of custom notification but it was limited to groups only. Now you can customize the notification of individual contacts also. It works in the same manner and has similar options as with groups custom notification feature.

5.       Easy to Clear Chats.

With this update whatsapp gives you an easier way to clear chats and messages as compared to the older version. You can get options to clear messages older than 6 months or 30 days.

6.       Backup Messages

.    Whatsapp gave this feature to some of the devices  but with this updated this feature has come in an enhancedway. Now you can select option to backup messages with specified duration. You can backup messages daily, weekly, monthly or yo   u can do it manually whenever you want.
